20 April 2022
The latest edition of the BDIA Dental Products Business Conditions Survey is available now, exclusively to BDIA members. This edition covers business conditions experienced over the second half of 2021, as well as members’ expectations for the first half of 2022.
Conducted every six months, the Business Conditions Survey reviews BDIA members’ sentiment on business conditions and future expectations across a number of key indicators, including: sales volumes, selling prices, input costs, administrative costs, wage costs, workforce size and regulatory costs.
Results for this edition of the survey point to the potential return for a more ‘normal’ level of sales activity following the sharp increases seen after coronavirus restrictions were first lifted. However, it is clear that the industry remains subject to significant pressure across a range of areas, with input costs (notably from raw material, chemical and packaging cost increases), administrative expenditure (chiefly from freight costs) and regulatory demands all contributing to a challenging operating environment.
