BDIA member input requested: government proposal for a ‘tie-in’ to NHS dentistry for graduate dentists

purple and pink heart shaped illustration

The government is running a consultation on proposals for a ‘tie-in’ to NHS dentistry for graduate dentists as part of its NHS Workforce Plan and its recovery plan for dentistry. The consultation seeks views on the proposal for a ‘tie-in’ to NHS dentistry for newly qualified dentists.

The government suggests that this would ensure that graduate dentists spend at least some of their time delivering NHS care in the years following the completion of training.

We understand that a number of BDIA members have submitted individual responses to the consultation. If you would like your views to be considered as part of a BDIA response, we would be grateful if you could share your comments via a BDIA survey using the link below.

Your input will be anonymised and your details are requested for internal BDIA use only. The government consultation closes on 18th July, and we would ask that you submit any views for inclusion as part of a BDIA response by Monday 15th July.

Full details of the consultation are available here.
