MHRA to consult on statutory fees
05 May 2022
In a meeting with the MHRA this morning, the regulator informed us that it intends to launch a public consultation on changes to its statutory fees.
The MHRA has stated that an internal review of its agency fees has highlighted under-recovery of costs across its statutory fees, and the Agency is now in the process of finalising proposals for changes to its fees in order to fully recover its costs.
It is understood that changes will be proposed to the full range of fees charged, including those relating to clinical investigations, device registration and Approved Bodies.
The consultation is expected to launch in June, with a view to the changes taking effect from April 2023.
When the consultation launches we will gather feedback from members to form part of a BDIA response.
