BDIA Late Summer Conference & AGM 2023 motivational speaker spotlight

28 July 2023

At this year’s BDIA Late Summer Conference and AGM, we have a great line-up of guest speakers who will be offering their insights, sharing knowledge and updating members with the latest industry news throughout the day at our one day non-residential event at the Double Tree by Hilton Oxford Belfry on Friday 22nd September 2023.

Our motivational speaker for the day will be John Hotowka. John’s experience of educating his clients, including global brands, on how to prepare for, navigate and effectively manage personal change has led individuals, collective mindsets and businesses to thrive well beyond their expectations.

John was awarded the Professional Speaking Award of Excellence – the highest accolade a professional speaker can be awarded in the United Kingdom.

Not surprisingly, after being made redundant as an optician three times in the space of seven years, he created a business as a corporate magician, which led to him working with nearly half the blue chip companies in the UK. This background perfectly positioned him with the experience needed when he evolved into becoming a professional speaker.

After a crisis in confidence in 2002, John realised all the training and knowledge in the world won’t help you achieve outstanding results unless you have the right mindset, attitude and resilience to be self-motivated. This is why he developed Achievement Thinking®
